Winter Solstice Tea
A Brew for Stillness, Light & Intention
Ingredients
(All herbs are gentle and commonly used—nothing activating)
Chamomile – peace, rest, softening the nervous system
Cinnamon stick – warmth, protection, inviting the return of light
Dried orange peel – joy, hope, solar energy
Rose petals – love, heart-healing, self-compassion
Star anise – guidance through the dark, trusting the unseen
Honey or maple syrup (optional) – sweetness, blessings, abundance
How to Brew
Bring water to a gentle boil, then turn the heat off.
Add:
1 tsp chamomile
1 small cinnamon stick
1 tsp dried orange peel
A pinch of rose petals
1 star anise
Cover and steep for 10–12 minutes — let it rest in the dark, just like the solstice night.
Strain, sweeten if desired, and hold the mug in both hands.
Solstice Intention (optional but powerful)
Before your first sip, whisper or think:
“In the stillness, I rest. In the darkness, I trust. I welcome the slow return of light — within me and around me.”
Sip slowly. No rushing. Let this be a pause, not a performance.
When to Drink It
On Winter Solstice night
During journaling or candle meditation
Before bed to honor rest and renewal
Any winter evening when you need softness
Enjoy and many blessings to you all!
