About Mystic Market NH
How It All Began
Mystic Market NH began its journey as The Eclectic Green Witchery — conjured on March 9th, 2020, and officially manifested as an online business on June 3rd, 2020. In September 2023, Mystic Market was formally registered with the state of New Hampshire, and on November 1st, 2023, a brick-and-mortar location opened its doors in Milford, NH.
I’ve been practicing spirituality in some form for most of my life — but I only stepped out of the “broom closet” in December 2019. For years, I hid what I truly believed out of fear of judgment. But what I believe in, practice, and offer is too meaningful to keep hidden. Witchcraft still carries negative connotations in our culture, and I am here to change that.
Let’s Clear a Few Things Up
What you’ve read in stories or seen on TV about witches is… mostly wrong.
Here’s what I don’t do:
-
Worship Satan — I don’t even believe he exists 😈
-
Sacrifice animals of any kind 🐮
-
Call upon demons 👹
-
Turn people into toads — though I’ll admit, the thought has crossed my mind 🐸
-
Cook or eat children — although I do pretend to gobble up my grandchildren because they are absolutely scrumptious 👶🏻
-
Melt in the rain 💧
-
Ride a broom — but I’d love to 🧹
-
Consider myself evil — though some may disagree 🤣
What I Actually Do
Here’s what my practice really looks like:
-
A nature-based practice rooted in the living world 🍃
-
Help people find peace and serenity
-
Share recipes for natural remedies using local plant life 🌱
-
Offer guided meditations
-
Teach relaxation techniques
-
Provide blessings, protections, and healing
-
Share tools for navigating life’s challenges
-
Offer love, compassion, and a judgment-free space
-
Occasionally feature my dog in the background of videos 🐶
-
Sport impressively “witchy” hair on humid days 😳
My Path: Eclectic with Green Tendencies
Being eclectic means walking a deeply personal path — one that draws wisdom from many traditions rather than following a single doctrine. It is an intuitive approach to witchcraft, shaped by what resonates, what heals, and what truly works for the individual. Eclectic witches study widely, honor many systems, and craft a practice that reflects their own needs, abilities, and spiritual callings.
A green witch, at heart, works closely with the living world — the elements, the land, the spirits of place, and all things green and growing. Through deep relationship with plants, animals, herbs, and the earth itself, green witches learn to harness natural energies for healing, balance, and connection.
Green witchcraft is rooted in the earthen realm. Trees, flowers, herbs, and stones are not merely tools but teachers — consulted for both their medicinal wisdom and their magickal correspondences. Though often labeled “New Age,” many of these practices are anything but new. They are old, ancestral ways passed down through centuries.
The foundation of my practice is protection, grounding, healing, and blessing. When paired with an eclectic approach, this path is expansive rather than limiting. Many green witches choose a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle — or at the very least, approach nourishment with mindfulness and reverence, offering gratitude for the lives that sustain us.
A Word That Resonates
“The word Witch carries so many negative connotations that many people wonder why we use the word at all. Yet to reclaim the word Witch is to claim our right, as women, to be powerful; as men, to honor the divine feminine within.”
— Starhawk
A Closing Thought
Peace, love, and tolerance for all beings — everywhere — deserve to be taught, practiced, and fiercely protected. Imagine the beauty of a world shaped by compassion, respect, and understanding if more people chose to walk with this mindset.
I hope this offers a little clarity and insight into my path — and that you’ll still love me all the same. 😄
Live, Love, & Magick
