We do not have snow where I live yet…
BUT….we had a some frost this morning…so winter is coming! 🥶
This little ritual is best performed during fresh snowfall or while holding a small bowl of clean snow.
You’ll need:
A handful of fresh snow (or a bowlful)
A quiet moment
Your breath and intention
Steps:
Hold the snow in your palms or hover your hands over the bowl.
Feel its stillness, its hush, the way snow softens the world. Snow is silent. I actually love that about the first snowfall of the year…that deafening silence of the world.
Close your eyes and whisper:
“Snow of silence, snow of calm, Take what weighs upon my palm. Melt the old, reveal what’s true,Clear my path and make it new.”
Focus on what you want clarity around—a decision, a feeling, a tangled situation.
Let the coolness help slow your thoughts, like flakes drifting down.
Let the snow melt (in your hands or the bowl).
As it turns to water, imagine the confusion melting too—draining away, becoming something you no longer have to carry.
Pour the melted water onto the earth or into a plant.
Whisper: “As this melts and sinks below, Clarity rises with the snow.”
