Shadow Journaling by definition is.........A psychological process focused on bringing the unconscious, rejected or repressed aspects of the self into conscious awareness, and integrating them for personal growth and better sense of wholeness.

Shadow journaling has become a sort of hip, pop culture term that's been strewn all over social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, but the basis of this concept has been around for much much longer. Carl Jung actually started to discuss the concept in the 1930's. Stating "I took it upon myself to get to know my myth. I regard this as the task of all tasks."
